Hailey Bieber is the trendsetter for the sugar plum fairy look and people can’t wait to recreate it for the holidays.

She posted a tutorial on TikTok and included all the products she used to create the ethereal and whimsical look.

She’s taken inspiration from her role in Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” as the Sugar Plum Fairy when she was 16. 

It all starts with a flawless base. Apply light foundation that matches your skin tone or opt-out and use concealer as a stand-in for foundation.

After that’s blended out, apply a subtle dusting of translucent powder to set the look. 

The Sugar Plum Fairy is known for her rosy cheeks, so you want to go for a soft, pink blush to achieve that sweet, flushed look.

Hailey used the Pat McGrath cream blush ‘Fleurotique’ and blended it onto the apples of her cheeks, capturing that youthful and magical glow. She also used the blush on her eyes, but that’s optional. 

To express the magic of this look, a radiant highlighter is a must. You have a couple of choices, you can opt for a highlighter that leaves a pearlescent finish like Fenty Beauty’s Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil in ‘How Many Carats?’

Or for a highlighter that accentuates the pink aspect of the Sugar Plum Fairy look like Haus Labs’ Bio-Radiant Gel-Powder Highlighter in ‘Rose Quartz’. You’ll want to apply the highlighter on the cheekbones, brow bones, and the tip of your nose. 

The key point of this look is the eyes. If you want to follow Hailey’s tutorial step-by-step, you’ll want to use the Hourglass glitter eyeshadow ‘Reflect – Champagne’ and apply it with your finger on top of the blush you used on the eyelid.

Use a brush to blend the products and create a seamless eye look. She also added gloss to add more shimmer and make the look dreamier.

To add to the magic, apply a glitter eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes to make them twinkle. 

You can keep the eye look simple or you can add a winged liner either with a very subtle brown or burgundy shade.

This adds drama to the look but doesn’t overshadow the whimsical aesthetic. Be sure to curl your lashes and apply a generous coat of mascara to create a fluttery, mystical effect.

False lashes are acceptable but go for a fantasy effect like the Lilly Lashes Fantasy Half Lash or the Dreamy Half Lash.

Last but not least, the lips. Lip liner and lip tint/gloss are all you need. Hailey recommends that you use the Mac lip liner ‘Cork’, a beautiful muted brown, and the Rhode lip tint in ‘jelly bean’ to complement the eye look.

Remember, you don’t have to use the same products, go for a soft, pink lip liner and gloss. Customize the look to you.
