Psoriasis, an autoimmune condition, causes the body to produce excess skin cells, resulting in scaly patches that can be uncomfortable and itchy.
Beyoncé’s revelation about her struggle with this condition highlights the vulnerability even celebrities face in their daily lives.
The global superstar emphasized the significance of hair salons and barbershops as sanctuaries for communities, where individuals find solace, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging.
These spaces, she noted, foster connections and serve as vital community hubs.
“For them, it’s a place to feel beautiful and vent, laugh, share secrets and pass down wisdom. It’s the most consistent community gathering we have. It’s so important that it’s a sanctuary,” she said.
Inspired by her personal experiences and family traditions, Beyoncé introduced her new haircare line, Cécred, derived from the end of her name, “Cé,” and the word “sacred.”
The brand represents a culmination of her upbringing, daily rituals, and extensive expertise in haircare.
“From my mother’s salon, daily rituals with my father, and years of experience in developing a hair care line, the journey has been just that: Cécred.”
