How exactly did Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco first meet each other?
As of now, their whirlwind romance has been making headlines for months. Are they going to get married? Are they going to have kids? What’s next for Selena and Benny?

Let’s find out exactly how they met each other for the very first time.
Back in 2009, Benny became friends with Selena’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. That was a full year before Justin and Selena started dating each other.
Fast-forward to 2015, and Benny was working with Selena on a professional level on some of her biggest bangers ever.
We’re referring to songs like “Kill ’Em With Kindness” and “Same Old Love.”
Then in 2019, Selena and Benny collaborated on a song called “I Can’t Get Enough” belong with J Balvin and Tainy.
Way back then, it didn’t seem like anything real could develop between Selena and Benny, but they obvi had no idea what was in store!
Weirdly enough, people are convinced that Benny might been bashing Selena during an interview when he was promoting a collaboration he had with Justin called “Lonely.“
He said something along the lines of “cutter pop artists” with “makeup lines” and he couldn’t have said it at a worse time. As a reminder, Selena had just gone public with Rare Beauty a few short weeks before Benny said that in an interview.
Benny produced another song from Selena called “Single Soon” in 2023, which might’ve served as a romantic segue into the current relationship they have today.
Selena and Benny went public with their relationship in December 2023, right before the holidays.
Now, their relationship has been going strong for months and moving in the right direction.
In the first picture she posted with Benny, most of his face was cut off, but people knew who he was because she was responding to comments from fans on pop culture Instagram pages.
From the jump, Selena has been super defensive of her relationship with Benny.
When she was promoting her song “Single Soon,” she opened up about her dating requirements with SiriusXM Hits 1 LA saying, “I think I have standards. And I think I live in a world right now where boys confuse standards with high-maintenance. It really isn’t [the same thing]. But the line was really fun because I’m not ashamed to say, ‘I actually require x, y, and z for you to be with me.’ So in a way, it was just meant to be for the attitude of the song. And that’s genuinely how I feel.”
