Cassie from Euphoria is one of the most polarizing fictional characters in modern television, and for good reason.

She starts a lot of discourse because people are unsure whether they should love her or hate her.

There’s an argument to be had on both sides, but for now, let’s dive into one of her most unhinged moments on Euphoria in preparation for the release of Season 3.

Can you remember the moment when Cassie showed up at school completely copying Maddy’s swag, style, and aura?

This moment went hand-in-hand with her 4 AM glow up routine because she really desperately wanted needs attention and she was willing to go to any and all extremes to get it.

That included energetically shape shifting into Maddy since she knew Nate still had unresolved feelings for Maddy.

When she showed up wearing the same exact outfit as Maddy, Nate actually gave her a second of attention, which made her feel momentarily fulfilled like she was on the right track and doing the right thing.

But when Maddy ran into her and tried to call her out for it, she immediately retreated into shame and embarrassment and speed walked in the opposite direction to avoid taking accountability.

This moment was completely unhinged because it proves that Cassie is well aware that Maddy is the blueprint that she can only dream of having the chance to emulate.

Cassie knew that she wouldn’t be enough all on her own to attract Nate and that she would have to mimic, mirror, and imitate Maddy‘s excellence in order to even stand a chance.
