Cassie from Euphoria is one of the most polarizing fictional characters in modern television, and for good reason.

She starts a lot of discourse because people are unsure whether they should love her or hate her.

There’s an argument to be had on both sides, but for now, let’s dive into one of her most unhinged moments on Euphoria in preparation for the release of Season 3.

Did you forget about the meltdown Cassie had during Lexi‘s school play?

Before the on-stage meltdown started, Cassie stormed out of the play to run to the girls bathroom where she stood staring her reflection, sobbing her eyes out.

And then started trying to force herself to smile. It was a very Joker-esque moment where she was forcing a smile onto her face, even though she felt absolutely broken inside.

She looked mentally unstable and unhinged as she forced herself to smile hard through her tears.

We have to keep in mind that the school play wasn’t supposed to be a revenge moment for Lexi, but energetically it sort of ended up morphing into a revenge moment because Lexi spent so much time living in her sister’s shadow, feeling humiliated by her sister, and feeling like she may never stand out in comparison to her sister.

Lexi put on the school play because she wanted to express herself artistically and creatively.

But Cassie wouldn’t let her have that moment.

She stormed into the auditorium, walked on stage and started shit talking Lexi for coming up with such a concept.

At one point, Cassie dragged Lexi onto the stage while Lexi continually whisper begged her to stop.

Cassie stole the moment from Lexi describing herself as the one who actually lives life and actually takes risks to further destroy Lexi‘s self-esteem.

At the end of the unhinged rant, Cassie said, “If that makes me a villain, then so fucking be it.“

It was messy. It was chaotic. And it was unhinged, to say the least.
