Going on a first date is supposed to be fun and exciting. If the person you’re interested in invites you to go somewhere that’s on this list though, it could mean that your future relationship is doomed to fail. If you’re the one trying to plan a romantically memorable first date with someone special, skip locations like these if you want everything to work out!

Ice skating, rollerblading, or anything that requires balance

Whether you’re a total star at the rollerblading or ice skating rink, there’s a chance your date might not have such impeccable balance. Inviting them somewhere where one (or both) of you might come crashing down isn’t a great idea.

Zoo

Some people are really bothered by the idea of animals from exotic areas of the world being trapped in cages. It’s best not to offend anyone by inviting them on a zoo date. Plus, zoos never smell that great anyway and there’s nothing sexy about them.

Wedding 

Weddings are filled with some of the most lovey-dovey and heartfelt speeches ever. How awkward would it be to sit next to your first-time date while a blissful couple is discussing their undying love at the altar? 

Camping trip 

Camping trips are great for established couples who are already totally comfortable with each other. Being invited on a camping trip as a first date is a little weird — and maybe even slightly dangerous.

Guns aren’t for everyone. Is there anything that really needs to be said?

Fast food joint

If your date invites you to a fast food joint on your first time going out with them, just know that they have absolutely no desire to impress you.

Dinner with the parents 

If someone has invited you to have dinner with their parents for the first date, they’re moving way too quickly and you should be alarmed. The same rule applies if they are trying to meet your parents as a first date plan. Once your relationship has been established, it’s normal to start thinking about making introductions to each other‘s parents.

Their place (or your place)

If someone has invited you to their place or wants to simply come over to your place for the first date, you should immediately cut things off. This is their way of showing you that they’re not willing to put in any effort at all to get to know you. A house call for a first date is not only incredibly dangerous, but it’s also a sign of massive sign of disrespect.
