One of the most memorable characters from the entire High School Musical movie franchise would arguably have to be Sharpay Evans. Sharpay always got a really bad rap but did she really even deserve it?! Most fans of the franchise these days would say no. Looking back on the movies with more mature eyes, it’s easy to see that Sharpay Evans just wanted to be successful and happy in both her musical career and her love life.
There has to be something redeemable and lovable about the character of Sharpay Evans because, after the first three movies premiered between 2006 and 2008, she got her own solo film in 2011 called Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure. Ashley Tisdale is the actress who dominated the role.

Being the center of attention was Sharpay’s favorite thing in the world. She loved being on stage performing music so of course in her social life, being the center of attention was one of her favorite things as well. Some people don’t like the idea of everyone around them paying attention to them but for Sharpay, having everyone’s attention was Ideal.

There are a couple of things that Sharpay really knew that she wanted and was willing to dedicate all of her time, energy, and effort to it. In Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, she packed up and moved to New York City to pursue a career as a Broadway performer. She leaves her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico behind for new opportunities.
There are so many people in the world who are too scared to make such a drastic and abrupt change but for someone like Sharpay, being fearless is the only way. She fearlessly packed up and moved to follow her heart.
You Have A Deep-Seeded Appreciation For Music
Sharpay obviously has a deep appreciation for music due to the fact that she is a performer. She loves the idea of being part of Broadway, theater departments, blockbuster movies, and so much more. Above everything else, she wants to be able to use her singing voice as a performer! She also knows how to dance really well so everything revolving around music is exactly what she is passionate about.

The reason they butted heads was that Sharpay didn’t like the idea of Gabriella taking theater roles that she wanted or Troy Bolton! Sharpay’s attitude came out of the woodwork a few times here and there and it wasn’t always a pretty sight.

One of the coolest things about Sharpay Evans is the fact that she is a natural-born leader. Even between her and her twin brother, Ryan Evans, she was the leader! For a very long time, she led the way when it came time for them to figure out auditions, performances, and so much more. Leading the way is something that she was always comfortable doing and being a leader was simply part of her DNA.
