Anyone who listens to music by Lizzo knows she’s a talented artist who drops some of the catchiest songs ever. “About Damn Time” and “Truth Hurts” are only two of many songs she’s released to create a name for herself in recent years. Her talent as a singer, songwriter, rapper, and flutist has taken her far. That’s why it’s frustrating to see people trash-talking her over something as trivial as her appearance.
Aries Spears made harsh comments about Lizzo
Aries Spears recently made some degrading comments about Lizzo’s looks, and it was met with tons of backlash from social media users. No one was pleased with him or what he had to say about her body. Lizzo seemingly spoke up about the matter as well during her 2022 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.
Lizzo took on the same tone Nicki Minaj used when coming at Miley Cyrus on stage back in 2015.

She said, “I want to say thank you so much for supporting me and loving me. And now, to the bitches that got somethin’ to say about me in the press. You know what? I’m not gonna say nothin’. They be like, ‘Lizzo, why don’t you clap back? Why don’t you clap back?’ Because, bitch, I’m winning, ho! Best revenge is your paper, bitch!”
The response from the audience was unanimous in the fact that people in this generation aren’t keen on body shaming. It’s time people had more respect for others by not criticizing body shapes and sizes. Lizzo’s talent speaks for itself and she just brought home another award to prove it.
