There’s nothing wrong with being considered the “Pam Beesly” of your workplace. Pam has many redeemable qualities and she is considered a fan-favorite character by a lot of fans of The Office. She is super sweet, trustworthy with secrets, and far from judgemental.

When she is part of the Party Planning Committee, she comes up with cool and creative ideas. She deals with getting hit on obnoxiously by her boss and coworkers like Creed Bratton and Kevin Malone. Pam gets through her workdays the best way she knows how! Are you just like her at the place you currently work?

You’re Typically Shy and Quiet At Work

If you are the Pam of your workplace then you are probably pretty quiet and shy whenever you’re at work. Pam kept herself when she was a receptionist and didn’t really talk to anyone in the office openly aside from Jim Halpert, who eventually became her husband.

(Their relationship is one of the best in TV history.) She focuses on answering the phones, taking notes during meetings, and being the best receptionist that she could be for Dunder Mifflin.

You Have A Slight Crush On Someone You Work With

Pam’s crush on Jim was NOT something she was willing to openly talk about or address for several years. She spent a lot of time engaged to the wrong person, Roy Anderson, before she finally broke down and realized that Roy was not the man for her.

She called off her wedding and ended up pursuing things with Jim later on down the line. She went years and years working in the office with Jim having a silent crush on him without acting on it! If you’re dealing with an office crush, you might be able to relate.

You Find Your Boss To Be Incredibly Annoying

One of the most annoying things that Pam had to deal with on a daily basis while working at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin was Michael Scott’s bad behavior. Although Michael is one of the most lovable and amazing fictional characters that TV viewers can watch, just imagine trying to work for him as a subordinate.

Being an employee at Dunder Mifflin having to work under the direction and instruction of Michael would probably be beyond aggravating. Nevertheless, Pam was respectful to him and all other Dunder Mifflin upper management.

You Get Hit On At Work A Lot Without Deliberately Putting Yourself Out There

Kevin and Creed were two coworkers at Dunder Mifflin who were guilty of hitting on Pam a lot, even though she was never flirtatious with either of them in any form, fashion, or manner.

Kevin flirted with her when she wore glasses to the office –– and Creed complained about the fact that his desk was not facing Pam’s desk because he wanted to be able to stare at her all day. And those are just two examples of some of the flirtatious advances she received during her time working there.

Your Favorite Time Of The Day Is Your Lunch Break

It was pretty obvious to anyone watching the show that Pam’s favorite part of the day was her lunch break! She got to sit in the break room and eat her lunch with Jim.

In a few scenes, we saw her eating her lunch with Roy as well before her relationship with him came to an end. It was obviously always a lot more fun for her to enjoy her lunch break with Jim because the two of them clearly had feelings for each other the entire time.

You Appreciate Funny Workplace Humor

Whenever Jim would prank Dwight Schrute in the office, Pam always thought it was super funny. Pam had a great sense of humor and that is a huge reason why she and Jim were on the same wavelength. They were definitely meant to be together and the fact that they had a similar sense of humor from the very beginning was definite proof of that.

There were a lot of jokes said in the office that did not make Pam laugh because she found them to be offensive but for the most part, she appreciated funny workplace humor.

You’re Happy To Help Plan Holiday Parties At Work

Pam occasionally worked alongside Angela Martin and Phyllis Vance with the Party Planning Committee to get parties planned for different holidays. The Party Planning Committee was also in charge of planning birthday parties as well.

Although the Party Planning Committee was really stressful and annoying because of Angela Martin’s attitude, Pam was still happy to help if she was really needed.

You Like The Idea Of Promoting To A Better Position Within Your Company

Pam went from being the receptionist in the office to becoming a saleswoman just like her husband, Jim! Once she became a saleswoman she realized that she wasn’t too great at sales and pursued another position that was more reasonable for her.

She became the office administrator even though Gabe Lewis briefly tried to get in her way of the promotion. As the office administrator, she was in charge of making sure that everyone in the office had the things that they needed including working computers and nameplates.

You’re Trustworthy With Secrets From Your Coworkers

One of the best things about Pam is the fact that she was able to take secrets to the grave. She knew about Angela‘s affair with Dwight behind Andy’s back, but she never spoke up or said anything about it.

Whenever something awkward would happen in the office between Angela and Dwight, Pam would always interject to ease any tension and distract everyone from the awkwardness. It was very mature of her to always step up and do that. Kelly Kapoor, on the other hand, was the office gossip! Total opposites.

You’ve Worked At The Same Job For Very Many Years

In one of the episodes when Pam was interviewing for a different job at a real estate agency, the man interviewing her mentioned that her résumé was super tiny. Still, he appreciated the fact that she stuck around as a loyal worker at the same job for a long time.

She herself mentioned that her entire résumé could fit on a post-it note! Pam was always comfortable staying at the same job location for many years in a row. That is probably a huge reason why she wasn’t comfortable moving to Philadelphia with Jim in the final season.
