Cara Delevingne is best known for being a model turned actress. Delevingne has modeled for high-end brands like Burberry, Chanel, and Fendi. Her transition into acting came in 2012 when she played Princess Sorokina in the film Anna Karenina. Since then, she has starred in multiple films, television shows, and music videos. Surprisingly, one of her roles might have ended up going to Emilia Clarke.

One of Delevingne’s more memorable roles was in 2016. Delevingne starred alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie in DC Films Suicide Squad.
She played the supervillain Enchantress, an ancient interdimensional being with the ability to possess other bodies. After being freed from imprisonment, she attempts to take over the Earth but is defeated by the incarcerated supervillains of the Suicide Squad. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was also considered for the role, but Delevingne was chosen instead.
Although Clarke did not land the role of Enchantress, it was recently revealed that she will be starring in Marvel Studio’s newest thriller, Secret Invasion, which is set to be released in early 2023. The series is about a group of alien shapeshifters who have invaded the Earth and secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe.
Clarke will play Abigail Brand, the commander of an intelligence agency with the task of protecting the Earth against extraterrestrial threats. Her character was supposed to be kept secret until the series was released but was accidentally revealed through gif aggregator Tenor. Clarke was featured in the gif labeled “it’s the beginning of Abigail Brand.”
The series will also feature Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), and a host of other familiar faces, including Don Cheadle, Martin Freeman, Olivia Coleman, Christopher McDonald, Carman Ejogo, Kingsley Ben –Adir, Killian Scott.
Fans will be able to stream the series on Disney+. Marvel Studios has yet to announce the release date, but the series will air sometime in early 2023. You can check out the trailer below:
