If you consider yourself to be a huge fan of Megan Thee Stallion, you are not alone. After she came onto the scene, the desire to have a “hot girl summer” blew up. At 28 years old, she’s already been compared to some of the biggest female rappers in the game. Megan has been writing her own rhymes since she was only 14 years old!
14 is a super young age to get started in the rap game, but she knew what she was doing pretty early on. She knew she wanted to make good music, she knew she wanted to speak her mind, and she knew she wanted to sound amazing doing it. There are plenty of reasons to love Meg but here’s a more narrowed-down list.
Meg’s nickname and house
Megan’s nickname comes from a place that’s pretty obvious… Her height! She stands at 5‘10″ which is pretty tall for a woman. Other famous celebs who are also 5’10” include Taylor Swift, Tyra Banks, and Mandy Moore. Being tall as a female comes in handy because it can often make it easier to command the attention of every single person in a room.
Megan may spend a lot of time partying in the Los Angeles area since that’s where Hollywood is, but that doesn’t mean it’s where she resides. She owns a luxurious home in Houston, Texas and she hasn’t been shy about showing it off on social media. She’s got the type of home anyone wishes they could live in, or at the very least party in!
Meg’s degree and screenplay plans
One of the most impressive things Megan’s got going for her right now is the fact that she’s working on her healthcare administration degree from Texas Southern University. She’s projected to graduate before the end of 2021. Even though she’s already made it in the music game, her choice to continue pursuing her education just shows she’s got her head on straight.
Megan’s favorite movie genre is horror, which definitely isn’t for everyone. Horror movies are liable to leave you with nightmares if you watch them too close to bedtime. For Meg, horror movies are right up her alley. She’s even admitted to Refinery29 that she plans to write the script for her own horror feature film at some point in time. She’s so creative with her rap rhymes, we have high expectations for a creative screenplay from her too.
Meg’s mother and boyfriend
The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree for Megan because once upon a time, her mother Holly Thomas was a rapper too! Her mother passed away after a battle with cancer in 2019. When Megan was a youngster, she developed an interest in rap and it’s obvious her mom was part of that inspiration. Megan also credits The Notorious B.I.G. as one of the biggest influences on her career as a rapper. When she was growing up, his music was consistently playing in the background of her household.
Megan is currently dating Paradise Fontaine and they seem to be really happy together. In May 2021, they walk the red carpet to the iHeartRadio music awards wearing gold matching attire. She confirmed she was dating him back in February 2021 and they’re still going strong. Their relationship is #goals, especially after we saw him stand up for her in the middle of the Tory Lanez/DaBaby social media drama.
