April Fools Day is easily the best day of the year for jokesters and pranksters with great senses of humor.

The most common joke to play on your partner would revolve around a fake pregnancy test, but that’s way too cliché in 2023.

There are several other fun April Fools Day jokes that will leave your partner speechless – or rolling on the floor laughing.

Faking a drastic appearance change

You’ll leave your partner absolutely floored if you can convince them that you’ve made a drastic change in your appearance without any warning.

Pretending you’ve shaved your head completely bald is an obvious route to take. If you’re spending time with your partner in person, you can slip your hair into a bald cap and hide the line over your forehead with the right amount of makeup.

If you’re not spending time with your partner in person, you can send a photoshopped picture their way that looks realistic enough to be legitimate.

You can also pretend that you’ve drastically changed your appearance with a new hair color, some color contacts, crazy makeup, missing teeth dentures, hideous glasses frames, or something else.

Property swaps

A silly way to prank your partner would be swapping some of your belongings in a way that leaves them completely confused.

Consider switching the contents of your underwear drawers, for example. When they open their typical drawer to find their own underwear, they’ll be shocked to be faced with all of yours!

If you want to take this to the next level, you can switch cars with your partner while they’re working. Find their car wherever they parked it at work, move it to another spot, and park your car in their original stall. By the time they get off work, they’ll be beyond weirded out.

Phone jokes

There’s tons of fun to be had with phones. If you’re able to get your hands on their phone at any point, you can set some of the most common words they type to autocorrect into other words.

For example, any time they try to type the word “and,” it will autocorrect to “crikey!” Another idea would be updating their ringtone to something that’s wildly inappropriate. Then, dial their phone number in a place where they’ll be surrounded by tons of strangers who will hear it.

You can take your April Fools Day jokes pretty far if you prank your partner with anything food related. Toothpaste-filled Oreos, pancake-battered sponges, and chocolate-covered pickles are just a few ideas that will totally make them gag.
