If you’re an avid traveler, or even new to traveling, you should probably know about travel hacking. Travel hacking is using credit cards, rewards programs, and frequent flyer programs to get free stuff when it comes to travel!
Whether it’s hotels or flights, you should definitely be taking advantage of membership programs. TikToker @TravelingwithJoce shared some information everyone will find useful. Here are some hacks that even travel hacking pros might not even know about.
If you link your Starbucks app to your Delta Sky Miles account, you get 1 mile for every dollar you spend
That’s right! Every time you buy a coffee, you can rack up miles. With enough iced vanilla lattes, you can even get some free flights.
If you’re a Hilton Honors member, you get points every time you use Lyft
Miss the bus? Don’t have a designated driver? Every time you use Lyft as a rideshare provider, you can get points added to your Hilton Honors rewards. Enough points and you’ve got yourself a free stay!
If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, you can get points every time you use Uber
Prefer Uber? Sign up for Marriott Bonvoy! All you have to do is connect your accounts and you get points toward a free stay for one day.
So sign up for any program and remember to put your membership ID somewhere you can easily access. Most are free to sign up for and once you enter the information, you’ll even forget that it’s connected and it won’t be long until you have a free vacation!
