Anyone who grew up playing Super Mario video games is likely feeling hyped about The Super Mario Bros. Movie premiering in 2023.
Interestingly enough, the cast of this movie is actually pretty famous! These are some of the voices you’ll recognize while watching the film.
Mario is voiced by Chris Pratt
The titular character of Mario is voiced by none other than Chris Pratt. You probably already know Chris from tons of major projects!
He starred in Passengers, The Jurassic World franchise, and The Tomorrow War. He is also the man who plays Star-Lord in The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Princess Peach is voiced by Anya Taylor Joy
Princess Peach is recognized for being one of the sweetest and most adorable video game characters ever. She frolics around in her pink dress and tiara, waiting for Mario to rescue her.
Anya Taylor Joy is the one handling the role of Princess Peach. in the movie. You probably recognize her from The Queen’s Gambit, The Menu, The Witch, and Split, among other projects.
Luigi is voiced by Charlie Day
Is there a better voice actor who could’ve stepped up to the plate giving Luigi the perfect voice in this epic movie?
Charlie Day is the man in charge of Luigi’s character, and we believe he was an amazing choice for the part.
One of the biggest roles you probably recognize Charlie from is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the hit comedy show that premiered in 2005.
Bowser is voiced by Jack Black
Bowser is supposed to be a difficult bad guy to defeat from Mario‘s perspective. Still, Mario is always able to come out on top whenever he goes head-to-head against Bowser!
Jack Black is the actor taking on the villainess role. You recognize him from School of Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Nacho Libre. This isn’t Jack’s first time doing voice acting, either. He also lent his voice to Kung Fu Panda back in 2008.
