Loads of people got burnt out on Instagram over the last couple of years since it’s grown increasingly difficult to grow an audience, garner organic engagement, and gain followers.
TikToker and Instagram coach @brittneybatla doesn’t believe anyone should give up on their goals if they want to grow on Instagram, though. She shared a slide video filled with tips that will help change your perspective about the app.
Here’s how you can fall in love with Instagram again

Brittney starts her slides out by explaining that your mental health is the most important thing. Instead of giving in to frustrated and paranoid thoughts that the algorithm will never support you, you can take a different approach while using Instagram.
Her first tip is to block and mute any accounts that put you into a comparison mindset. As soon as you feel like you’re comparing yourself to someone else, it’s best to stop paying attention to their account altogether.
Her second tip is to bring the social aspect back to social media. Don’t plainly view your Instagram page as a job. Instead, use it to communicate with other people in a friendly manner.
Brittney’s third step is to schedule the time you spend on Instagram. She explains that the best thing to do would be batching content and blocking designated time out on your calendar to make things happen on the app.
Tip number four from Brittney is to take a step back in order to genuinely start creating amazing content you love. When you feel proud of the content you’re creating, it becomes easier to enjoy your time on Instagram.
Her fifth step is to break free of hustle culture. Too many people are convinced that hustle culture is the only way to live, but it’s actually super unhealthy and detrimental.
Brittney’s final piece of advice is to turn off your like count. There’s no reason to stress yourself out by viewing how many people liked (or didn’t like) one of your posts.
Her advice is incredibly solid for anyone struggling to find joy while using Instagram these days.
