Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas had mutual acquaintances who were attempting to hook them up long before they ever met.
While their friends’ attempts to arrange a date were unsuccessful, the two started following each other on Instagram at some point in 2016; as a result, Joe got Sophie’s attention.
Although Joe and Sophie are accustomed to being in the spotlight, they have a history of keeping their personal lives largely hidden, particularly since the start of their relationship after their initial Instagram connection.
Sophie received a direct message from Joe inviting her to travel with him while he was traveling through the U.K. on tour.

The pair announced engagement nearly a year after their romantic relationship was established. They collaborated on Instagram postings on October 15, 2017, which included Sophie’s ring.
2019 saw their impromptu wedding, complete with a ceremony at Chapel L’Amour in Las Vegas that suited their impulsive and carefree personality. The couple wore Ring Pop wedding rings to heighten the drama of the entire event.
The musician and his lovely wife welcomed their baby girl, Willa, on July 22, 2020, expanding their family by one. They announced that baby number two was due two years later.
