Spring break is a fantastic time for a romantic getaway, whether you have time for a quick weekend within commuting distance or dedicate a full week to a far-flung location.

“The period between the holidays and summer is difficult, especially in parts of the country where the weather may not be as pleasant as we would like,” says travel expert Lilian Rafson. 

“It’s nice to have something to look forward to, even if it’s not a big vacation. This is an excellent method for partners to reconnect and recharge.”

Kid-friendly family vacations and college students partying all night link with spring break, couples can use the time for a romantic, adult-focused escape if they adjust their strategy.

 “Put more emphasis on your accommodations,” travel expert Mary Cropper advises. “Make it more about high-end amenities and less about activities so you can enjoy the property and [spend] more time together.”
