Your value is not decided by your appearance – that’s the first factor to realize. Consider what impact you want to have on the world outside of your outward appearance.

Is “attractiveness” at the summit of your list? Or do you value traits like compassion, ambition, kindness, resolve, and creativity more? This is the time to determine what is most essential to you.

Challenge your negative thoughts

Calm your inner judge. Your brain tends to focus on negative events and knowledge. This is true even if you have more good than negative encounters.

Your inner judge who tells you “you’re not tall enough” or “you’re not good-looking enough,” is telling you the things that will have you settling in a pit party.

Your brain is most likely ignoring many amazing aspects of yourself to concentrate on something negative.

Making yourself vulnerable to this emotion is the first move. So, join me in saying these affirmations:

“I am the author of my story. I am beautiful. I feel beautiful. I’m deserving of affection. I am worthy of love. It’s okay to have flaws, that’s what makes me human. Every day, I’m learning to love myself more and more.”

With affirmations, it will feel like you’re lying to yourself at first. The trick is to continue being consistent with it until it no longer feels like you’re lying to yourself.

Keep in mind that you’re not attempting to suddenly become better, more obedient, less indolent, or anything else.

You’re simply attempting to feel better about yourself right now. There is a distinction.

You’re not aiming for anything too rigid or particular. All you have to do is start on an empty road with an open spirit.

Consider the pupil who enjoys music and spends her time practicing her instrument. You don’t have to be Mozart to find your path to divinity or to start believing you are genuinely beautiful.
