If going on vacation simply isn’t possible for you right now, you should treat yourself to a well-deserved staycation.

Going on a trip might be exactly what you need right now to reset, relax, and rejuvenate yourself. Still, if your money is looking tight, you shouldn’t force the issue.

You can spoil yourself just as much by making a staycation happen in your own local area that doesn’t require any transportation costs.

First things first: Figure out your staycation budget. If you’re willing to spend at least a small chunk of money, you should be able to find an affordable hotel room that will make you feel like you’re far away from home.

Book a hotel room in your local city, order room service for yourself, and schedule some spa treatments. Stay within your budget of course, but have fun.

You don’t have to actually catch a flight to feel like you’re treating yourself to a vacation. A plush hotel room for a night or two can work wonders when it comes to raising your vibration and uplifting your mood.

If possible, choose a hotel with worthwhile amenities. A nice pool and fitness center make all the difference.

Choosing a hotel that offers complimentary breakfast is another win.

Along with staying in a lovely hotel room, consider doing fun things in your local area that will add to the “vacation” vibe.

Visit a historical museum, catch a movie, or go for a hike where you’ll see picturesque views. Feed ducks by a pond, stop by an aquarium, or take in a comedy show. Think about doing something you wouldn’t;t normally do!

If splurging on a staycation in a local hotel room is still sound out of reach, you can create the vacation feeling at home without actually having to go anywhere or do anything major.

Create a spa day experience for yourself at home with a steamy bubble bath, hydrating face mask, and DIY sugar scrub.

Plug in an aromatherapy machine to have essential oils floating in the air. Utilize a vibrating massage gun, gel nail polishes, and silk robes throughout your day.

Play some calming music, light some candles, set our fresh-cut flowers, and lay out a few interesting reading materials for yourself to create the perfect ambiance.
