Jena Huse is the definition of a true Las Vegas “it girl.” She lives an incredible lifestyle that others naturally hope to potentially emulate someday.
Jena is living proof that showing up for yourself on a daily basis with positivity, ambition, and self-love will take you far in life.
As a dedicated mother to her son, the owner of A Spray of Rays, a top 6% earner at Arbonne, and co-host of the You’re Not Average podcast, the beautifully impressive story of Jena is worth exploring and celebrating.
LoveTravelBeauty: What inspired you to get into spray tanning and can you share some details about A Spray of Rays?

I was only 19 when I started in the tanning industry. I was working at a tanning salon at the time and noticed every client I met who was always coming in to get spray tanned was either passionate about their skin and not aging, or getting ready for a life event like a wedding or vacation.
That was something I could definitely get behind. I also noticed the tips I was getting outweighed my hourly earnings.
I ran some numbers and quickly realized my idea to start my own mobile spray tanning business was a really great decision and set up a business plan to get a quick ROI.
Fun fact: spray tanning is the cheapest beauty business to start and many of us see an ROI in the first 3 months.
Whereas most businesses do not see a return for two-three years. I attended the West Coast Tanning Expo in 2021 and bought my first spray tanning machine.
The rest is history! I am now releasing an entire product line this week, I have taught over 20 women across the US to start and scale their own spray tanning businesses and am opening my first location inside SVG3 Fitness on August 5, 2023.
LoveTravelBeauty: That is absolutely incredible! How has your experience selling Arbonne enhanced your business life and mindset?

I was blessed to meet my upline, Peyton Mott last year in July at our annual Arbonne conference in Las Vegas.
I had heard of Arbonne before, but never really gave it any thought because I just figured an MLM was not for me.
I could not have been more wrong and I am so happy I listened to her when she saw the potential in me that I did not see in myself at the time.
She was so kind to me and we hit it off and became instant besties. She tagged me in a photo on Instagram and I got three more requests for spray tans that day.
I was blown away by the support and kind hearts of every woman I met that day, so when she asked me to take a look at the business I said, “Yes.”
It took about a thirty-minute presentation between her and I for me to really realize this business could be a huge blessing to my life and I could really help others along the way focus on healthier habits and choices for their lives and their families.
We have over 450 products, all consumable and with the best ingredient policy. We ban over 2,000 ingredients whereas the FDA bans 11.
All products including nutrition, skincare, makeup, and body care are cruelty-free, non-toxic, vegan, and non-GMO.
We are B-Corp certified. B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.
In order to achieve certification, a company must:
- Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards.
- Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.
- Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
Arbonne strives to go beyond clean. We believe in a holistic approach to better your physical, emotional, mental, and environmental health, and overall wellbeing to help everyone flourish inside and out.
Our philosophy embraces the relationship between clean, effective plant-based products, conscious sustainability practices, and connecting people together for their healthy living journey. www.arbonne.com.
I figured the best thing that happened was I climbed to the top of the company and I made an extra $22k a month while changing thousands of lives and on my own time, and the worst that happened was I tried the products and returned them (we have a 90-day money back guarantee) and nothing changed.
When I commit to anything, I commit. I did our Thirty Days to Healthy Living program where I cut out gluten, dairy, alcohol, and processed sugars and focused on whole foods.
I shared the genuine changes that were happening in my body and mind. I read up on every ingredient and developed a passion to help people live healthier.
I was overall happier, and healthier and you could really see the changes from the outside looking in.
I was able to climb to the top 25% of the company in two weeks, and the top 6% in eight months.
Arbonne has given me an opportunity to grow as a human being and show my son that nothing is impossible and anyone can see success in this business.
Busy people really are the best at this business, and I am proof. I am a small business owner and a single momma and my life has only gotten better beyond my wildest dreams from saying yes to this.
I did not ever overcomplicate it. I just shared what worked for me and taught others how to do the same and I have seen a lot of success.
The only way to not be successful is to not be invested in growing yourself and not having a passion to help others and just give up completely.
My favorite part of this business is the community of supportive people that I have met and the opportunity to grow a team of women and men who want to see each other win.
LoveTravelBeauty: Your passion for the business showcases how much you genuinely believe in the life-changing products Arbonne offers! You also have a podcast called “You’re Not Average.” What can new listeners expect when tuning in?

I wanted to do this podcast because I wanted to inspire people. I really do believe when we work hard, we are kind and show up to the best of our ability and trust God to lead, He will show off in all His glory.
I wanted everyone to see that we really are not created to be average. God wants you to live a life of abundance and be the best you that you can be.
We have one life to live on this earth and you better believe I am going to live it to the best of my ability and show others how they can do the same.
Each week we serve up a topic that we feel holds value in our lives; we go over personal development, mindset, exercise, mental health, and all things in between.
You can expect us to just be two friends having genuine conversations about what has helped us both grow and find success.
LoveTravelBeauty: It sounds like anyone interested in elevating in life will gain pivotal knowledge and value from your podcast. How has becoming a mom changed the way you view your life?
Being a mom changes you in more ways than I can even count. They are your driving force. They are your chance to start over. They show you who you want to show up as for them.
The moment I became pregnant I was alone from the start, but I always gave all my worries and troubles to God.
I prayed so hard that I would receive a love I have never experienced and boy did God deliver.
My son has shown me who I want to be. I want him to one day see that his mom worked hard, never gave up when life throws curve balls, followed the Lord, and had a passion and determination in her that was unmatched.
I want to give him the best life that he deserves because he changed me to be such a better human and he deserves the best mom in the world.
LoveTravelBeauty: Your love for your son is absolutely beautiful. And you’re in amazing shape, by the way! What are your top three fitness and nutrition tips?

First of all, thank you! I definitely owe a lot of my physique to Arbonne products. What I learned while I was doing the 30 Days to Healthier Living program was all about creating healthy habits that are sustainable.
We do not count calories but focus on no dairy, alcohol, gluten, or processed for thirty days and focus more on whole foods and ingredients.
I now live my life on an 80/20 rule. 80% of the time I do not have dairy, gluten, or processed sugars and I very rarely drink alcohol these days.
The other 20% of the time I have cake, chili cheese fries, and whatever my little heart desires.
I lift 15 pounds weights at the gym, work out for 45 minutes at least 5x a week and focus on my glutes, and 20 minutes on the bicycle.
I would say to really pay attention to ingredients rather than calories and educate yourself on what you are consuming each day.
You would be shocked if you started paying attention to ingredients rather than calories.
LoveTravelBeauty: Everything you’re doing is working because you are STUNNING. What advice do you have for girlies aspiring to get on your level someday?

You are too sweet! Work HARD. Be a good person with the best intentions. When you feel like you are having a hard day or a hard moment, accept it and know it is temporary and it will pass.
Most people give up when the going gets tough, and the ones who want success need to break through those hard times to receive the abundance that is on the other side.
If it was easy, everyone would do it. If you want something bad enough, I promise you, nothing, and no one will stand in your way of getting it done.
Follow that initial tug you had on your heart and see it through to the best of your ability. Speak the life you want into existence as if it is already yours and show up as the person you aspire to be each day.
