When it comes to first dates, answering the question “Who makes the plans?” may be more important than you think.

This subject can be daunting, so you should be thinking about this question when the idea of a first date comes to mind with someone you’re attracted to.

Who should make plans on a first date?

The person asking you to go on the date should be the one to plan the first date. It’s almost a courtesy as they’re the ones hinting at wanting a relationship with you.

From a straight woman’s perspective, there’s a certain confidence to admire in a man who asks you out and takes the initiative of planning the date.

It shows he’s prepared and excited to impress you! And yes gentlemen, it’s acceptable to ask what activities your partner enjoys to get inspiration.

However, it’s not exactly a good idea to simply ask, “What do you want to do?”

There’s no romance when that question is involved on the first date. Subtlety is your best friend.

Straight men need to should show the woman they’re interested in that she’s important enough for him to arrange dinner, prepare a picnic, choose the best bowling alley, or simply plan on a romantic walking route in the park as the sun sets.

A man who puts effort into the first date sets the scene for the rest of the relationship.

Now ladies, if you’re the type of person that likes to take control, then you should be making the plans.

Don’t conform to society’s belief that women don’t know what they want. Don’t be afraid to be assertive by letting them know what you’re looking for.

Plenty of men love women with confidence!

Showing each other that you’re interested in one another is determined by that first date and creates the possibility of a future between two people.
