Dating someone who publicly hates on you, shames you, or embarrasses you is NEVER acceptable.

Keke Palmer got that memo. Her relationship with Darius Jackson is (fortunately) over.

Keke and Darius started dating in 2021, and now share a son named Leodis together.

When Keke first posted affectionate pictures of herself kissing Darius during a birthday celebration in 2021, the world became aware of their romance.

However, the love between them simply wasn’t built to last. Here are the details.

Keke Palmer deserves better than a partner who shames her out of his own insecurity

Things between this young couple hit the fan after Darius publicly shamed Keke for the outfit she wore at an Usher concert.

She attended Usher’s My Way Las Vegas residency looking fabulous – but Darius just couldn’t handle it.

Her sheer black dress over a matching thong bodysuit was too much for him to stomach.

Darius publicly criticized her in a tweet saying, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.”

Some fans believe he was more bothered about how she was vibing with Usher during the show, but pinning his disapproval on her outfit was the easier route to take.

Darius later posted, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”

He went on to say, “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Keke didn’t respond to the online drama directly, but the couple is donezo about a month later.

The former Nickelodeon actress started selling “I’M A MOTHA” merchandise as a way of poking fun at Darius’ ridiculous comments.

Then, she teamed up with Usher himself to star in the music video for his single “Boyfriend.” Talk about handling a hater!

Darius’ decision to shame Keke made him come across as weak and insecure. Becoming a mother does NOT instantly mean a woman loses her right to have sex appeal.

If he vocalized his discomfort about her closeness to Usher during the show, that would have been a separate conversation. But judging the clothing of a woman who just carried your child in her womb for nine months is out of pocket.

When a woman starts feeling comfortable and confident in her own skin again after birthing a child, that self-love should be celebrated.

He has no business dating a baddie if he can’t handle the heat that comes with it. Their breakup is good news, as it clears space in Keke’s aura for her to meet a man who matches her energy, ambition, and status.
