Plenty of young Millennials and Gen-Z women are opting out of having kids.

The reasons for living a child-free life are endless, and now we’ve got another great reason you can add to your list.

TikToker @FilterlessEra, also known as Sarah Fraggis, shared a video explaining a scientific detail about the aging process that occurs after you give birth to babies.

Women who have kids age 11 years faster than child-free women

In the video, Sarah explains that a study of 2000 American women was completed to come up with these results.

Mothers who birth children age faster than child-free women by 11 years because of something called telomeres.

Telomeres are bits of DNA that shorten over time. The shorter your telomeres are, the higher your mortality rate is – and the grayer your hair is.

The telomeres inside mothers were 4.2% shorter than the ones analyzed inside child-free women.

When you do the math on that, it comes out to about 11 years of difference.

It’s also pretty obvious that living a life with minimal stress will keep you from developing worry lines and wrinkles.

Some of the most common places to develop worry lines are on your forehead, the corners of your mouth, and between your eyebrows in a vertical direction.

If the idea of having kids stresses you out, you’re NOT alone.

Now you’ve got scientific proof that your face will remain looking youthful longer if you choose to remain child-free.
