The one dating app with the worst reputation ever is undoubtedly Tinder. It has a terrible reputation compared to alternatives like Hinge, Bumble, and PlentyOfFish.
The reason why? It’s been dubbed a hookup app.
People use Tinder to find casual sex partners for one-night stands with no strings attached.
Anyone who’s interested in pursuing something of value knows to avoid Tinder like the plague if you don’t want to get used sexually and discarded like trash.
Who likes getting ghosted? Tinder is an app that puts a lot of people in that scenario.
Lately, the ads for Tinder have been going balls to the wall trying to convince young Millennials and Gen-Z singles to give the app a download.
Here’s what you should know.
Tinder commercials have a new message. Are you falling for it?
Some of the most recent commercials you’ll see for Tinder claim that “it starts with a swipe.” As in, long-term relationships start with a swipe on their app.
In one of their commercials, a young couple leaves a restaurant to hookup in private. They’re wild night suddenly results in furniture shopping, presumably sometime in the future.
The ad currently has 43 million views on YouTube with only a little more than 600 likes. That ratio obviously isn’t the best.
It’s beyond difficult for young people to take Tinder seriously as an app that can be used to find true love when it’s historically been such a detrimental factor in the world of romance.
The design of Tinder has made it way too easy for people to view others as meaningless, unimportant, and replaceable.
Only time will tell if Tinder‘s newest ads will actually make a difference in who they attract on their platform.
Tinder’s commercials are spreading a new message. The question is… are you falling for it?
