Have you been swiping away on dating apps like Tinder and Bumble without any luck during the fourth quarter of the year?
The truth of the matter is that dating apps are totally dry around the holidays – and for good reason.
TikToker @TheEmRazz explains that this just isn’t a great time to try and find your soulmate. Here’s why.
Delete your dating apps until the new year
TikToker @TheEmRazz explains that it feels like nobody’s using dating apps right now because most people are spending time focusing on their goals and/or their families.
This time of year is a great time to focus on Your New Year’s resolutions and the plans you have for a better and brighter future.
People are making vision boards, writing goal lists, deciding about enrolling in higher education, applying for new jobs, writing books, launching podcasts, starting businesses, and more,
This is also when you’re supposed to be spending quality time with your family since so many people get time off work for the holiday season.

Because most people are focusing on self-improvement, self-growth, and personal development right now, it’s unlikely you’ll find matches who are trying to strike up brand-new relationships while they’re in the midst of lifestyle transitions.
Take this as a sign to start focusing on yourself, pouring into yourself, and watering your own garden.
This doesn’t mean you have to put off finding love until the new year if you’re adamant about continuing your search right now.
But it does mean you should be wary of the potential matches you’ll find on dating apps at this juncture.
People who aren’t worried about improving themselves or spending quality time with their families might not be the matches you actually want for yourself in the long term.
