Have you ever planned out a productive day and ended up totally missing the mark? You might’ve neglected your checklist to aimlessly scroll on TikTok, binge-watch Netflix shows, or lounge around without facing your responsibilities? 

Yeah, we all have. 

And a lot of the time, we let this lack of momentum ruin our big plans by continuing to waste our day away.

But what if I told you you could take back control of your day?

Turn your day around before bed

TikToker @lifeasraven gives us a simple, yet productive routine to make the most of these days!

In this example, the routine starts at 3 PM. But you can adjust accordingly.

For the first 10 minutes, you’re immediately giving yourself lots of momentum to build from.  You’re going to put your feet on the floor, open any blinds, pee, make your bed, and stretch for 1 minute.  This also stacks a lot of mini-wins at the real start of your day. 

Then, change into comfortable outdoor clothing. 

At 3:15, start making your breakfast/lunch. You can make it more enjoyable by listening to music, ASMR, or a podcast! Try not to eat in your sleeping area, it’ll tempt you back into rotting.

You should be finished around 4:00, this is when you’ll go on a quick five to 15 minute walk. 

“This is necessary because you’ve been rotting in the dark for so many hours into the day, you want some sunlight exposure now to kinda reverse that a little bit”.

From 4:30 to 6:30, you’re going to do any digital-to-do’s; with your comfort show or music playing in the background if you’d like! 

This includes work, school, studying, tending to your online business, or any other digital tasks. 

At 6:30 is when your 30-minute reward time starts. You get 30 minutes of scrolling time. 

7:00 to 8:00 is dinner! Again, just try not to eat in your sleeping area. 

8:15 to 9:00 is when you’ll begin your night routine! Take a shower, do your skincare, get into comfy PJs or a cute loungewear set, and have a sweet treat!  (You deserve it.) 

Then from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, it’s chill time. Get in bed and choose a relaxing activity or teo for yourself to engage in before sleeping, like being on your phone, watching a show, or reading a book. 

“But you’re gonna fall asleep no later than midnight so during the end of that you should probably avoid the blue light”, she says in her closing statement. 

So, think twice before believing you’ve ruined your day by your initial lack of ambition. With this routine, you can turn those days around.
