Halle Bailey, the talented 23-year-old actress and singer, known for her enchanting performances and her role as The Little Mermaid, recently gave birth to their son Halo with her rapper boyfriend DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.)

In the world of Hollywood, where every detail of a celebrity’s life is often scrutinized, Halle chose a path of secrecy when it came to her pregnancy.

The Secret Unveiled

In a heartfelt revelation on Snapchat, Halle expressed the importance of cherishing the sacred moments of her pregnancy away from the public.

“I think it’s really beautiful if you keep some things private and sacred,” she said.

“I know that there was a lot of people who would always comment and be like, ‘We know, girl, we know,’” Halle said.

“I’m like, okay, that’s great that you know [about my pregnancy]. But I’m gonna just chill. And that’s wonderful if you support me, and if not, that’s okay, too.”

In a touching Instagram post on January 6, Halle introduced Halo to the world, holding his tiny hand in hers.

Her sister Chloe Bailey opened up to People about keeping her Halle’s pregnancy under wraps.

“We just ignore it. I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books.”

Chloe raved that she is “on cloud nine” following her nephew arrival.

“She’s an auntie, she’s an auntie!” she excitedly told People.

Halle’s recent role in The Color Purple

Later in the Q&A, Halle said she was able to muster up the energy to attend award shows and media events while pregnant.

“I think for me, I just realized I think it was helpful for me to be able to still be working and have something to promote, like the beautiful film I was a part of,” she explained, referencing her movie, “The Color Purple,” which was released in December

As Halle embraces this new chapter in her life, she stands as a testament to the beauty of personal choice and cherishing sacred moments.
