We all feel the need to take a break sometimes from a particular routine, don’t we? Absolutely!

Iggy Azalea, the Australian rapper and model, felt the need to take some time away from the music spotlight sometime in 2021 when she released a supposedly last album The End of an Era.

In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, Iggy says after doing music for some time, she felt a need to focus on other things in her life beyond music, probably necessitating the title of her last album.

Iggy Azalea is done with the music industry

According to Billboard, Iggy is absolutely over it.

On Twitter, she said, “I’ve always been someone who finds my joy in being creative & seeing my ideas come to life. For a long time I used music to deliver my big crazy ideas to the world.”

She continued, “I know a lot of people have this idea that I was ‘bullied away from music’ and that’s something I’ve always laughed at because I’d never be bullied out of anything! In fact, I’m too stubborn. I think I’ve even resisted changes within myself at times, purely because I don’t like being viewed as someone who quits.

Before this, Iggy Azalea went on a music hiatus

As of this publication, Iggy’s most recent lyrical music video was added to YouTube was on October 2020. The song is called “Money Come (Remix) feat. Big Boss Vette & Ivorian Doll.”

Iggy has an interesting career-beginning marked by an unwavering grit and a profound passion for music as she surmounted all odds of dropping out of high school and being mocked for her outfits and raps.

She quickly rose through the setbacks and became a superstar, intriguing her fans.

After taking about a year off the stages, Iggy made a tweet about coming back to music in August 2022.

She says “A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because of the negative energy it attracted… but I’ve learned that even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative and nosey. So, if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”

In November 2021, she said she sold a portion of her catalog so she wouldn’t have to work anymore. We are not sure of the exact amount of that sale though, but whatever makes her happy!

We know that Iggy has learned to navigate the turbulent waters of criticism and nosiness, hence her defiant declaration to return to music.

Whatever new chapter she decides to write, we wish her a triumph over the shadows that once threatened to dim her passion for music and a huge comeback in her musical journey.
