Finder is a personal finance site that has much to say about this subject. They note that there are a handful of states full of people who might be deemed “undateable” based on their credit scores.

The most undateable states

According to Finder, there are a handful of states across America full of people with low credit scores.

In Mississippi, the average credit score is 669. In Louisiana, the average credit score is a little better at 675.

In Alabama, the average credit score is 679. In Oklahoma, the average credit score is 680. Texas matches up with Oklahoma with an average credit score of 680, too.

Folks with low credit scores shouldn’t feel completely doomed when it comes to love, though. There’s still ample opportunity to find romance in your life, regardless of what your credit score is.

It’s also important to keep in mind that it’s MUCH easier to find love when you’re the best version of yourself.

If that means getting into the best physical shape of your life, great! If that means working on your mental health by seeking out therapy sessions, awesome!

If that means raising your credit score so your finances are in order as you approach something as serious as marriage, then that’s just as wonderful.
