America’s Next Top Model was THE number one reality show. Millions turned in for the contestants, the drama, the plot twists.
It was one of the best reality TV shows of the early 2000s.
So, where did it all go? Why did it just… stop? And is there a chance it could come back?
Why did ‘America’s Next Top Model’ end?
America’s Next Top Model faced declining ratings and reviews in its final season. Even with the return of the legendary Tyra Banks, critics just weren’t impressed.
Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers of Vulture once said “This is not a good reality show. Its characterizations of the contestants jumped all over the place as it went, […] you could strongly argue that the best contestant, on paper and in our hearts, lost for no good reason at all. ”
Will ‘America’s Next Top Model’ ever come back?
Talks of a 25th season have been buzzing around for ages. Tyra Banks is certainly interested.
She told ABC News, “You know, we’ve done 25 cycles of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and I feel that we that we should at least end at 25. At least do that.”
Nothing concrete has sprung up since, but miracles happen – and a 25th America’s Next Top Model may be another one. Never say never!
