The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks located in San Francisco, and it also happens to be a popular backdrop for plenty of photos.
A spokesperson from RubyHome Northwest spoke on the subject saying, “The ranking shows how these cities have all become cultural icons on the world map.
“Their significance is due in part to the well-known and loved landmarks they are home to, with the Golden Gate Bridge and The Empire State Building being two of the most popular, generating over 3 million hashtags each.
“However, each city’s global importance is also down to the people that have inhabited these cities in the past and the people who live and work in them now; this has made these cities the thriving hubs that they are today.”
