Recently, Kourtney Kardashian took to Instagram to playfully poke fun at her sister Kim Kardashian’s infamous diamond earring meltdown, a scene etched into pop culture history.
In a post shared on Sunday, April 7, Kourtney, 44, captioned a series of beachside photos with a tongue-in-cheek reference to Kim’s dramatic episode.
“My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it’s gone,” she quipped, echoing Kim’s memorable line from years ago.
Witty banter between sisters
Accompanying the witty caption were snapshots of Kourtney enjoying a swim in the ocean, sporting a carefree smile, and humorously posing with her hands on her ears.
The lighthearted jest at Kim’s expense sparked amusement among fans, reminding them of the iconic moment from season 6 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
But Kourtney’s Instagram post wasn’t just about playful banter. Alongside her jest, she also shared a heartfelt message for new mothers, drawing from her own experiences as a mother of four.
Encouraging new moms to embrace their bodies at every stage, Kourtney expressed solidarity with the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the adjustments that follow.
Her words of self-compassion resonated with many, serving as a gentle reminder of the beauty of motherhood and the importance of self-care.
“Dear new mommies, your body is beautiful at all stages,” she wrote. “During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting.
And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal.

While Kourtney’s playful dig at Kim’s past may have stirred fond memories for fans, it seems Kim herself is ready to move on from the diamond earring incident.
In a candid video response to fan questions, Kim expressed weariness over the recurring jokes, clarifying that the earring had been recovered long ago.
“This gets so old,” Kim said in a November 2023 GQ video.
“Any time I’m in water, people will ask me if I found my diamond earring in the ocean,” Kim explained. “I don’t know if I showed this on our show, but Kylie [Jenner] found the earring.
So, she dove in the ocean, put on goggles, found it, and then she went back and found the back of it. That’s how clear the water is in Bora Bora, so, guys, the earring has been found.”
Kim added, “It was found in 2010. If anyone’s going to Bora Bora searching for gold and diamonds, [it’s] not there.”
