Twenty years ago The Notebook premiered, causing the tears of millions of people. Well, we’re not sure about the second half, but it sounds about right.
The movie is one of the best love stories of all time. Now we’re wondering, what the cast is up to in 2024?
Rachel McAdams (Allie Hamilton)
Leading lady Rachel took a brief hiatus shortly after The Notebook before returning to star in films including The Time Traveler’s Wife, Sherlock Holmes , and State of Play.
Rachel is an environmentalist who has taken many volunteer opportunities and even ran a blog called GreenIsSexy.org.
Ryan Gosling (Noah Calhoun)

Ryan continued to star in box office hits after The Notebook, including La La Land, The Big Short and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Most recently, he starred as Ken in Barbie. His band, Dead Man’s Bones, released their self-titled debut album and toured North America in 2009.
James Garner (old Noah/Duke)
James played leading roles in more than 50 theatrical films before his passing in 2014. In 2006, James made his last personal appearance in the film The Ultimate Gift. Simon & Schuster published his autobiography in 2011.
Gena Rowlands (old Allie)
Gena’s career in film, stage, and television has spanned nearly seven decades. While she retired in 2015, she appeared in films after The Notebook including Broken English and The Skeleton Key.
