On Shadow Work Sunday, it’s time to reflect on some of the major things you need to stop blaming yourself for.
As human beings, we all make mistakes. Give yourself a little more grace and stop blaming yourself for these things.
Trusting the wrong person

If you gave your trust to someone who didn’t deserve it, it’s not your fault.
You wanted to believe the best about someone, and that simply shows the type of heart you have.
Searching for love in the wrong places
Plenty of people have made the mistake of searching for love in the wrong places out of the fear of being alone.
After realizing that loneliness is better than surrounding yourself with toxic people, consider it a lesson learned rather than something to continue blaming yourself for.
Taking time to learn your lesson
Sometimes, it takes the pain of getting hurt more than once for you to finally learn your lesson about something.
While it’s never good to stay on a toxic path with a toxic person, release yourself from the blame and guilt if you’ve finally mustered the strength to walk away.
Making bad decisions when you didn’t have all the necessary information

It’s impossible to make perfect decisions in life when you don’t always have 100% of the necessary information.
We are not omnipresent beings and the majority of us don’t have psychic powers.
Give yourself a little bit of grace when it comes to the bad decisions you’ve made in the past.
Make a commitment that any decisions you wholeheartedly regret won’t ever be repeated again in the future.
Bad decisions made by other people
There’s nothing you can do to control other people. Therefore, you should never blame yourself for the bad decisions someone else makes.
It’s not your job to keep on the right track and you shouldn’t feel guilty about the outcome of someone else’s life.
