Selena Gomez’s subtle response to the pregnancy news
On May 9th, Justin and Hailey let the world know about their pregnancy with a photo thread shared on Instagram.
In the pics, Hailey‘s pregnant belly is super visible and easy to see. She and Justin seem very affectionate and lovey-dovey in all the videos and pictures.
So, how exactly did Selena respond? Her comment sections on social media have been completely disabled so random people can’t flood her content with their thoughts and opinions about the pregnancy.
The only people who can comment on Selena‘s content are her close friends.
In doing this, Selena has successfully created a boundary to protect herself from an influx of chatter about a pregnancy announcement that truly doesn’t have anything to do with her.
As of this publication, her comment section is still turned off. This isn’t the first time Selena has taken a stance on social media.
She’s made several announcements about taking breaks from social media over last few years.
She’s also taken time away from Instagram to allow her PR team to post for her at different times throughout the past.
At the end of the day, whatever Selena needs to do to respect her mental health is a top priority – even if that means turning off her comment section to prevent unnecessary comments from flowing in her direction.

As far as Selena‘s own plans to get married or pregnant sometime soon, there’s a chance that could be in the cards for her now that she’s in a serious relationship with Benny Blanco.
Selena and Benny have been running in the same circles since 2019 when they collaborated on a song called “I Can’t Get Enough.”
They didn’t confirm their relationship until December 2023, though.
Since then, she’s made it clear that she’s head over heels in love with the quirky record producer.
He definitely feels the same way about her!
During an interview with Howard Stern, he said he’s looking forward to having kids with Selena.
He also noted that he could see marriage in their future. Benny seems like the type of partner who wears his heart on his sleeve!

Hailey lost millions of followers on Instagram and started receiving death threats at the time.

It’s unlikely there will ever be a collaboration between Rare Beauty and Rhode Skin, but the two women don’t appear to be full-fledged enemies anymore.
