Sydney Sweeney has a girl crush on Dakota Johnson.
While candidly speaking her mind at a red carpet event for LACMA Art + Film event in Los Angeles, Sydney opened up about her very specific girl crush.
She talked about working alongside Dakota Johnson while filming Madame Webb saying, “I was a little nervous. I have to say, I snuck into 50 Shades of Grey in high school. My parents didn’t let me watch it and I watched it. So I’m a huge fan of her. She’s so hot.”
As a reminder, Sydney and Dakota both starred in Marvel’s Madame Webb, which premiered in theaters on Valentine’s Day of 2024.
Unfortunately, the movie is considered a box office flop, but that doesn’t mean Sydney and Dakota didn’t do an incredible job in their respective roles.
Plenty of critics have complaints about Madame Webb, but the movie probably didn’t deserve as much hate as it received since it had leading actresses like Sydney and Dakota in the mix.
Anyway, plenty of fans might’ve assumed Sydney would have crushes on other onscreen co-stars she’s worked with like Jacob Elordi in Euphoria or Glenn Powell in Anyone But You.
In reality, Dakota happens to be the one crush Sydney has ever been open and honest about.
If you’re curious to know if a romantic connection between Sydney and Dakota would ever happen, that’s unlikely.
Sydney is currently engaged to marry a man named Jonathan Davino and Dakota has been dating Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, since 2017.
