As of now, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are considered one of the most beloved Hollywood couples of this modern era.

But where did it all begin? Here’s what you should know about their first date!

Taylor and Travis had a simple first date

The details of Taylor and Travis‘s first date might bore you if you were expecting something super ritzy, jaw-dropping, and out of the box.

Some might assume he took her for a ride on a hot air balloon or sailing on a private yacht.

In reality, Travis and Taylor kept things a lot more simple.

Travis realized he was enamored by Taylor after watching her perform a show on her Eras Tour in July 2023.

He saw her dominating on stage and knew he wanted to get to know her.

After watching her sing her heart out from his private box at the show, he had plans to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number written on it.

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t get a chance to cross paths with her after the show.

He noted that he enlisted help from members of Taylor’s entourage and family as a way of connecting with her and getting her attention.

Travis opened up about their first date to WSJ, saying they met up in person in New York to get to know each other on a more personal level.

He said, “I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.”

The fact that their first date took place in New York isn’t surprising when you take Taylor’s home ownership into account.

The “Love Story” owns multiple properties in the state including a West Village apartment, two Tribeca penthouses, and a Tribeca condo expansion.

New York is a state that clearly has Taylor‘s heart even though she also owns properties in Los Angeles, Rhode Island, and Nashville as well.

So, what’s next?

The future of Taylor and Travis‘s relationship won’t necessarily be based on where they enjoyed their first date, by the way.

Travis currently lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He also owns properties in Kansas, Kansas City, and Florida.
