Selena Gomez’s connection to Faith on Spring Breakers

Selena opened up about her time playing Faith on Spring Breakers with Reuters, saying, “It was completely liberating. [Up until this film], everything I’ve been a part of definitely has been a bit more processed.”

Projects that were more processed for Selena definitely refer to the time she spent filming kid-friendly shows and movies like Wizards of Waverly Place, Princess Protection Program, Ramona and Beezus, and Another Cinderella Story.

She told Collider, “I think it was a good character choice. It was the right role to do. I think the girls just completely kill it, in what they do. They’re so incredible in it. But, Faith was someone that I completely relate to and have this vulnerability towards. I just care about her.”

One thing we know for certain is that Selena absolutely killed it as Faith in Spring Breakers.

She was believable and she was easy to root for.

Faith is the type of character anyone can relate to if you’ve been through moments of peer pressure in your teenage years or in your 20s.
