We all know that the marriage between Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas is done for good.

There likely won’t be any reconciliation in their future based on how messy their divorce was.

Before they filed for divorce and before they officially got married, the love story between Sophie and Joe was on a positive path, though.

On an appearance on The Tonight Show, Sophie opened up about the first night she connected with Joe.

In her mind, she definitely believed he was going to be more of a jerk than he turned out to be.

She mentioned that she thought he was going to be “such a dick” before she actually got to know him.

To keep herself safe in case Joe ended up being a catfish, she invited a handful of her guy friends to accompany her on her first date plans with Joe.

That’s because Joe apparently slid into her DMs to ask her out in the first place. She wasn’t exactly sure it was really him!

According to Sophie, Joe told her he often gets compared to a young George Clooney that fateful night.

To that, she totally called him out and told him he doesn’t!

On The Tonight Show, Sophie went to say that she, Joe, and the rest of their friend group returned to her place to hang out a bit more afterward.

After Joe left for the night, she recalled opening up about her newfound crush to her brother saying, “I remember him leaving and I wept to my brother. I was like ‘I love this man so much!’ And I knew, and that was it!”

Joe and Sophie tied the knot in 2019. They welcome their first child in 2020 and their second child in 2022. Then, they officially filed for divorce in 2023!
