Right now, fans are excited about possibly seeing Sydney Sweeney, Nicola Coughlan, or Florence Pugh in the role.
In the past, women who’ve been hired as Bond Girls have always seen massive success in their careers.
How likely is it that Sydney, Nicola, or Florence will be chosen for the upcoming action-packed movie? Here’s what you should know.

Conversations about Sydney have been making their rounds in the media, and social media users seem to be on board.
One Redditor wrote, “Sweeney’s the hottest ticket in town, right now. She could get any movie made that she wants to make, just by attaching her name to it.”
After starring in projects like Anyone But You, Immaculate, Madame Web, The White Lotus, The Handmaid‘s Tale, and Euphoria, her résumé as an actress is already quite impressive.
It’s not surprising that she’d be at the top of the list when it comes to Bond Girl considerations.
Has Sydney opened up about a desire to start in the next James Bond movie, though?
She’s remained incredibly tight-lipped about the rumors and hasn’t said a word.
Instead, she’s been busy sharing photo threads of her lovely vacation experiences in places like the Greek Islands where she’s been gallivanting around in sundresses and bikinis!
And what about Nicole Coughlan?
Fans are open to the idea of seeing Nicola in the next James Bond movie as well.
One person on Twitter excitedly wrote, “Nicola Coughlan emerges as a contender for the next Bond Girl? Excuse me?! I’m screaming. Give it to me. Give it to me right now!”
Nicola‘s biggest role to date arguably happens to be Bridgerton on Netflix, but she also starred in Derry Girls, Big Mood, and the Barbie movie of 2023.
Just like Sydney, Nicola has yet to speak on the possibility of playing the next Bond Girl. She hasn’t indicated whether or not she’d be interested.
And how about Florence Pugh?
Social media users are having tons of conversations in public forums about their hope for seeing Florence as the next Bond Girl.
Many are fully on board with the idea.
An entire Reddit thread was created to discuss it with the creator writing, “Can Florence Pugh be the next Bond Girl? She was absolutely amazing in Black Widow. I could see her having great chemistry with the next Bond.”
Beyond Black Widow, Florence also starred in Midsommar, Little Women, Oppenheimer, and Don’t Worry Darling, just to name a few. Her list of movies and TV shows is quite extensive.
Florence once opened up about James Bond movies, but it wasn’t in the context of playing an official Bond Girl.
Digital Spy conversed with her about the topic in 2018.
She told them, “Someone asked if I wanted to be the first female Bond, and I was saying that I don’t think we necessarily need that whole conversation. Do we need to have a female Bond? Couldn’t we just make something new?”
So, she rejected the idea of becoming the first female Bond, but she didn’t say anything about being the next Bond Girl.
