It turns out their first date story is actually a bit more intense and dramatic than anyone might have guessed.

Dylan first bumped into Barbara at a party in the states, which prompted them to track each other down on Instagram.

She followed him first and he slid into her DMs after that. Her IG follow definitely gave him the green light to press forward!

Six months passed before they took any real action, though.

Dylan was working on a project in China, which happens to be a 13-hour flight from Los Angeles and a near 15-hour flight from New York.

Barbara was supposed to have a work project in China at the same time, but it ended up getting canceled.

She asked him if she should still come down to China to see him anyway. He responded with, “Please come.”

China is where they ended up having their first date!

Dylan claims their first kiss ever happened that night as well. According to British Vogue, he said, “On our first date, the first night, in a single bite you ate a third of my burrito. And then you asked me to kiss you. That was our first kiss! After you horked down one-third of my burrito.”

Sharing food and kisses on a first date?! They were a match made in heaven from the very start, if you ask us.

Dylan and Barbara announced their engagement in 2022, and their fans were over the moon with happiness for them.

They tied the knot in Hungary during the summer of 2023.
