Although Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet have been dating for more than a year, they still don’t have any selfies together posted on the internet.

The only pics in circulation of Kylie and Timothee together are pictures that were snapped by the paparazzi.

As a reminder, they were photographed at a Beyonce concert together and they were photographed at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

But zero selfies of them have been shared on Instagram or other social media platforms.

Here’s the likely reason why.

When we think back on Kylie‘s past relationships with Tyga and Travis Scott, she was much more open with the public about everything.

Anyone who followed her on Snapchat while she was dating Tyga got a glimpse into what their relationship was like behind closed doors.

They were always posting selfie videos together showing off just much they enjoyed being in each other‘s presence.

The whole world knew all about Kylie and Tyga‘s relationship because they went public with their love story on her 18th birthday. He even gifted her an entire car!

They were talk of the town while they were seeing each other for about three years before officially calling it quits in 2017.

She moved on with Travis who she stayed with off-and-on from 2017 until 2023. That was about five years of them being in each other’s lives on a romantic level!

Kylie now shares two kiddos with Travis, and while they were dating, they were also pretty decently public about their relationship.

They took selfies together and even did a few public interviews together.

So, what’s different about her relationship with Timothee compared to her past romances?

We have three estimated guesses as to why she hasn’t posted a single selfie with Timothee yet.

First, Kylie is older and more mature now. Kylie was a teenager when she started dating Tyga and she was in her early 20s when she started dating Travis.

She is currently in her mid-to-late 20s. As of this publication, she is 26 years old.

The older you get, the more mature you become, naturally.

When she was younger, posting a bunch of pics and videos to show off the details of her love life probably felt fun and exciting at the moment.

Now that she’s older, it’s possible she feels that the more mature thing to do is to keep her relationship a little more close to the chest.

Second, Kylie might want to remain respectful of Timothee’s independence outside of their union.

Kylie is a showstopper, and there’s no denying it. Whenever she walks into a room, crowds go crazy for her.

As a way of respecting Timothee and his career, it makes sense that she would avoid posting selfies with him to prevent a true frenzy from occurring.

After all, she snuck into the premiere of his movie Wonka and didn’t walk the red carpet and fans believe she did that to make sure he still received all the attention and shine for his talent as an actor that evening.

Third, Kylie might be linking the habit of oversharing to the demise of her past relationships, which means she obvi wouldn’t want to stick to the same patterns.

Since Kylie posted so much content with her exes and both of those relationships failed, another failed romance isn’t likely something she wants to go through.

Since she had a habit of overhearing pics, videos, and details about her last two serious relationships with her fans, she might just be preserving the integrity of her current relationship by breaking those patterns.
