They dated from 2019 until 2021, and they were always super open about their love story with constant photos posted on social media.

Rumors about Sabrina and Shawn started circulating in 2023 after they were spotted hanging out together in Los Angeles.

In March 2023, Shawn and Sabrina attended Miley Cyrus‘s album release party even though they walked out separately to avoid allowing paparazzi to snap photos of them together.

A month after that in April, Shawn was spotted kissing Camila at Coachella.

It seems that Shawn and Camilla were dabbling with the idea of rekindling their romance until June 2023. That’s when they officially ended their love story for good.

After that, things get a bit messy regarding music releases from both Sabrina and Camilla.

In 2023, fans started speculating that Sabrina’s song “Cindy Who Lou” was about Camilla. The lyrics are pretty damning.

Sabrina sings, “Maybe he met you somewhere in the desert. While he was soul-searchin’, he found someone better. Guess he makes you happy like I couldn’t do. Cindy Lou Who.”

Somewhere in the desert sounds like the time Shawn and Camilla reconnected at Coachella.

After that, Camila released a song called “June Gloom” with lyrics that could easily be directed at Sabrina.

At this point, fans are convinced that a slew of other songs from Sabrina were written as direct attacks against Camila as well. These include Sabrina’s “Taste,” “Dumb & Poetic, “Sharpest Tool,” and “Coincidence.”

Is it possible that Camilla is going to drop another song against Sabrina that will double as a diss track?

Since these starlets know how to make waves in the industry, that is a very possible outcome.

But the most wild update of all is that all three of the people involved in this love triangle are set to perform at the upcoming VMAs.

Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes are ALL going to perform at the 2024 VMAs.

Of course, they won’t be on stage together at the same time, but they will indeed all be backstage in the same place at the same time.

It’ll be interesting to see how the VMAs goes with all three members of this messy love triangle in one place at one time.
