We’ve got 10 of the latest and craziest Selling Sunset bombshells and updates that have been making headlines as of September 2024.
As a heads up, we’ve got updates about all the current Selling Sunset agents, and we even have an update about Christine Quinn!
First, Emma Hernan might quit ‘Selling Sunset’ following the rumor from Nicole Young.
Emma is incredibly pissed off about the rumor Nicole spread about Emma being a mistress with a married man.
Emma told E! that there was “zero truth” to the rumor.
She also directly told Nicole, “You’re an awful human being, and you owe me a sincere apology. Let me just tell you that this isn’t over. This is so damaging. What she had done to me. It’s disgusting. It is slander. It is defamation.”
According to Vulture, there’s a chance Emma might not be too keen on coming back to film Season Nine after dealing with this toxicity.
Second, Bre Tiesi only speaks to two of her co-stars after the drama of Season Eight.
Bre hasn’t been able to walk away scot-free after everything that’s happened regarding her on-screen feud with Chelsea Lazkani.
Bre opened up to Digital Spy revealing that she’s only on speaking terms with two of her Selling Sunset co-stars.
She said, “I still talk to Mary [Bonnet] and Amanza [Smith] and I’ve always had relationships with all of the girls, aside from Chelsea [Lazkani].”
She went on to say, “Leading up to this last season I really took a step back from everyone and everything. It’s not that I have a problem with anyone, especially Mary and Amanza and any of the girls I haven’t had any issues with. This season was really eye-opening for me and very toxic and I want to protect my peace at all costs.”
Third, Chrishell Stause just revealed both of her breast implants ruptured.
Another unfortunate update regarding a Selling Sunset star is that Chrishell‘s breast implants both ruptured at the same time.
She posted an update with her fans and followers on Instagram to let them know she’d be undergoing surgery to get them fixed since she initially got the “vintage” silicone boob job about 15 years ago.
Fourth, did Trevor Noah shoot his shot back at Amanza Smith?
Amanza made it abundantly clear that she was attracted to Trevor Noah during Season Eight of Selling Sunset leaving fans to wonder if Trevor was going to get back to her and possibly set up a date.
Amanza opened up about what has transpired since the show landed on Netflix.
She straight up told People Magazine, “Trevor Noah has not reached out.”
According to the outlet, Amanza doesn’t seem bothered by the situation since she’s super focused on her real estate career, her art career, and raising her kiddos.
Fifth, Mary Fitzgerald Bonet opened up about getting drugged and SA’d in her memoir.
Another heartbreaking story to come from a Selling Sunset star revolves around Mary who pinned a memoir called Selling Sunshine.
In the pages of her book, she opened up about the time she was drugged and SA’d by someone she thought was an acquaintance.
Mary admitted that she sought out serious therapy and counseling after going through that ordeal because she was traumatized.
She wrote, “I won’t be alone with any man that I haven’t been friends with for at least five years or who’s 100 percent gay, so I know I’m safe.”
Sixth, Mary Fitzgerald Bonnet reached out to Christine Quinn in the midst of Christine‘s divorce.
Once upon a time, Mary and Christine were super close friends. Just think back to the first season of Selling Sunset!
As time progressed, they grew apart, but, Mary did reveal to Us Weekly that she reached out to Christine to give love and support in the midst of Christine’s divorce from Christian Richard.
Mary kept her text short and sweet writing, “My intention isn’t to rekindle some big friendship, but I mean, I’m there for anybody that’s going through a hard time.”
As of now, it’s unclear if Christine ever texted Mary back.
Seventh, Chelsea Lazkani technically isn’t divorced from Jeff Lazkani yet.
Rumors about Jeff’s infidelity were in full swing during Season Eight of Selling Sunset. It was revealed that Chelsea filed for divorce from Jeff in March 2024 citing irreconcilable differences.
Just because you file for divorce, though, it doesn’t mean you’re actually officially divorced right away.
Jeff and Chelsea are still technically married as of this publication, but they’re actively going through the motions of their divorce proceedings to change that so their marriage will be officially dissolved.
Eighth, Nicole Young has doubled down since Season Eight ended about the Emma rumor.
Nicole did a recent interview with Netflix Tudum and has continued to double down about the mistress rumor she spread about Emma on the show.
Nicole said, “This information was given to me by a credible source. I don’t mean that as an excuse. I own the fact that I said it, but this is not something I made up.”
Regardless of whoever her source might have been, the fact that she tried to spin a nasty narrative about Emma on camera is what many of her co-stars are so angry about.
Ninth, Alanna Gold claimed she owned Pioneertown, but that was a lie.
The newest Selling Sunset agent, Alanna, is now in hot water after claiming she owned a cute little town in California called Pioneertown.
She talked about owning the town multiple times during episodes of Season Eight, but citizens of the town have called her out for it and labeled her a liar.
Alanna has since stated that she’s “deeply sorry” for making the outrageous claim on such a popular Netflix reality TV show.
The truth of the matter is that Alanna and her husband own a little less than 1% of the land there, so they do indeed have a bit of ownership. But they don’t own the entire town.
Lastly, you definitely won’t be laying eyes on a selling Sunset season eight reunion.
There is so much drama between Selling Sunset cast members at the moment that the producers decided to completely scrap the Season Eight reunion.
This is bad news for Selling Sunset fans everywhere since the reunion episodes are usually when all the stars have a chance to hash everything out on the shared stage together.
Season Eight was chaotic and Chrishell has made it abundantly clear that she’s ready to quit the show if producers keep Nicole as part of the lineup.
Her threats about quitting are part of the reason the reunion isn’t happening.
Since Chrishell doesn’t want to give Nicole a platform anymore, it would have been messy trying to figure out if Nicole would have been welcome to participate in the reunion also.
