We’ve linked the connections between Lana Del Rey‘s songs and the most iconic characters from the Twilight saga.

Here’s your full breakdown.

Edward Cullen: Old Money.

Edward’s love for Bella Swan was the focus of the entire Twilight saga. He was dedicated to her.

Lana sings, “If you send for me, you know I’ll come. And if you call for me, you know I’ll run. I’ll run to you, I’ll run to you. I’ll run, run, run. I’ll come to you, I’ll come to you. I’ll come, come, come.”

Edward was always there for Bella, aside from the temporary time when he left her in New Moon because he believed she’d be safer that way.

Lana also sings, “The power of youth is on my mind. Sunsets, small town, I’m out of time. Will you still love me when I shine. From words but not from beauty?”

These lyrics track for Edward who had skin that would shine in the sunlight. He lived in the small town of Forks, Washington with Bella with the power of eternal youth on his side.

Bella Swan: Without You.

Bella truly felt like she was nothing without Edward by her side. She loved him dearly, and she allowed her love for him to consume her.

Lana sings, “Hello-hello, can-can you hear me? I can be your China doll, if you wanna see me fall. Boy, you’re so dope, your love is deadly. Tell me life is beautiful, they all think I have it all. I’ve nothing without you. All my dreams and all the lights mean. Nothing without you.”

Bella was willing to act like a China doll ready to fall in New Moon in a desperate attempt to get Edward’s attention and make him return. His love was also deadly since he was a vampire the whole time!

Jacob Black: Summertime Sadness.

Jacob dealt with serious heartache over losing Bella. He wanted to be with her, but ultimately, she chose to be with Edward. That led Jacob down the path of some real sadness.

Lana sings, “Kiss me hard before you go. Summertime sadness. I just wanted you to know. That baby, you the best. I got that summertime, summertime sadness.”

Jacob was sad beyond summertime over Bella’s decision.

Alice Cullen: Once Upon a Dream.

Alice saw prophecies, visions, and dreams of the future every once in a while thanks to her gift.

Lana sings, “I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, that gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam. And I know it’s true that visions are seldom all they seem. But if I know you, I know what you’ll do.”

Alice’s visions came to her like dreams, and when she warned her loved ones about what she saw, she helped prevent terrible things from happening.

Rosalie Hale: Thunder.

Rosalie’s energy was thunderous, aggressive, and abrasive at first when she first interacted with Bella.

Lana sings, “You roll like thunder when you come crashin’ in. Town ain’t been the same since you left with all your friends. You roll like thunder when you come crashing in. Regattas in the wind, that’s why you’re visiting.”

Rosalie didn’t become mire likable until she became more gentle and less thunderous.

Emmett Cullen: Yosemite.

Emmett was easily one of the strongest and physically biggest vampires in the entire Cullen household.

Lana sings, “You make me feel I’m invincible. Just like I wanted. No more candle in the wind.”

Emmett was far from a candle in the wind and he definitely came across like he was invincible.

Jasper Hale: God Knows I Tried.

Jasper wasn’t the best with will power. His cravings for human blood were strong, even though he was trying his best.

Lana sings, “God knows I live. God knows I died. God knows I begged. Begged, borrowed and cried. God knows I loved. God know I lied. God knows I lost. God gave me life. And God knows I tried.”

These lyrics are so on brand for Jasper who was technically dead since he was living as a vampire. And he was constantly trying to practice self-control.

Jessica Stanley: Blue Banisters.

Jessica’s importance in the Twilight saga came in the form of friendship. She was there for Bella when Bella first transferred to their school.

Lana sings, “Now when weather turns to May. All my sisters come to paint. My banisters green. My blue banisters grey.”

The sense of sisterhood Lana sings about is similar to the platonic friendship Jessica offered Bella.

James, Laurent, and Victoria: 24.

The fearsome energy from James, Laurent, and Victoria was a bit frightening to see in the Twilight saga. They were ruthless.

Lana sings, “There’s only 24 hours in a day. And half of those, you lay awake with thoughts of murder and carnage. If you lie down with dogs, then you’ll get fleas. Be careful of the company you keep.”

James, Laurent, and Victoria daydreamed of carnage because they loved consuming human blood. They were terrible company for anyone to keep.

Jane, Aro, Caius, and Marcus: Money Power Glory.

As part of the vampiric government in the Twilight movies, Jane, Aro, Caius, and Marcus were obsessed with maintaining their positions of power.

Lana sings, “I want money and all your power, all your glory. Hallelujah, I wanna take you for all that you got.”

As long as this crew had their power, they were pleased. Anyone who tried to fight back against them was in for some trouble.
