What exactly is going on with Camille‘s arc on Emily in Paris?
Season Four has arrived and it seems that Camille‘s storylines are getting more and more cringey.
Here’s what social media users are saying about her butchered arc online.
As a reminder, Season Four of Emily in Paris features Camille lying about the fact that she isn’t REALLY pregnant to Gabriel and Emily.
Of course, she definitely thought she was pregnant when she initially made the announcement, but after visiting a doctor’s office, she uncovered that she was never pregnant at all.
Instead of coughing up the truth, it looks like she will be sitting on her secret for a while. Lying about a pregnancy is not a good look.
On top of it, Camille destroyed her romantic relationship with Sophia, even though Sophia was a great girlfriend for her.
Sophia was a loving and genuine partner, but Camille just couldn’t get it together to make the relationship work.
Now, it’s looking like Camille is possibly going to do what she can to weasel her way back into Gabriel‘s life, even though Gabriel has moved on with Emily.
One social media user posted, “I hate how they ruined Camille’s character and storyline? Why did we have to see Camille go from witty, smart, effortlessly chic, and talented art gallery curator, to a desperately manipulative baby trapper?”
That user isn’t alone in this particular concern.
Someone else chimed in to say, “The same Camille who left Gabriel at the altar and backed out of marrying him, is the same Camille who now is faking a pregnancy to get closer to him?? Lazy writing. I’m so upset over the writers completely ruining her character and need to move on from the love triangle storyline.”
A third fan added, “They lost the plot. I have a feeling that they never had one! I’m only watching now for the Parisian scenes, Gabriel, and fashion. The story is inane all around.”
Another fan shared their two cents writing, “I think they did that so we root for Emily but I think it is lazy writing. They could have made it more nuanced.”
Someone else who feels like Camille has been a pretty annoying character from the jump into the chat to say, “Camille is a manipulative little B and I’ve never liked her. All she does is play with people’s hearts. She’s an immature little rich girl. I hope that, eventually, karma bites her in the ass.”
