If you’ve seen both Gossip Girl and Euphoria, there’s a high chance you’ve taken time to compare both shows in your mind.

Both shows have been considered cultural phenomenons for their own separate reasons. But which show is actually better?

The argument for Euphoria.

People who ride for Euphoria above all else are obsessed with the fact that the show is so artistic and beautifully created.

The visuals of Euphoria are unmatched.

The glittery eye makeup, the nude scenes, the legendary backdrops, and more. There are so many beautiful things to see while watching episodes of Euphoria.

Visually speaking, the show is super poetic in the sense that it’s so aesthetically pleasing.

On top of that, the storyline is super interesting to follow as well. Rue gets caught up with a female drug lord who might want to pimp her out? The love triangle between Cassie, Maddy, and Nate? Jules hooks up with Nate’s dad in a secret hotel room? Kat’s webcamming hustle? These storylines are undeniably intriguing.

But what about the argument for Gossip Girl?

Gossip Girl is one of those shows that’s garnered endless respect from viewers everywhere.

Although it might sound like a girly show to watch based on the title, tons of guys have fallen into the chokehold of Gossip Girl as well.

The wild plot lines and jaw-dropping dynamics between the characters make the show such a pleasant joy to binge-watch.

There’s a reason fans of Gossip Girl have been re-watching all six seasons over and over since the show ended in 2013.

The fashion, the frenemy drama between Blair and Serena, the darkly brooding romance between Blair and Chuck, and the mysterious hidden identity of Gossip Girl? There’s just so much to love.

So which show is better between Euphoria and Gossip Girl?

Truth be told, we’ve come up with an answer even though it’s a bit too early to make a full-fledged comparison between Euphoria and Gossip Girl.

Euphoria hasn’t come to an end, so a comparison this early isn’t quite fair. By current standards, Gossip Girl definitely comes out on top.

That’s because, as previously mentioned, Gossip Girl ran for six successful seasons that were filled to the brim with incredible drama.

Plus, the episode load was beyond superior. Season One had 18 episodes, Season Two had 25 episodes, Season Three had 22 episodes, Season Four had 22 episodes, Season Five had 24 episodes, and Season Six ended with 10 episodes bringing it all together.

Each season of the show was released in a timely between 2007 and 2013.

Euphoria looks like a true failure in comparison since only two seasons have been produced between 2019 and 2024… and both seasons only had eight episodes.

The third season isn’t going to premiere anytime soon since production has been pushed off until 2025.

The low number of episodes and the fact that there’s been so much distance in between season releases is the big reason why Euphoria just doesn’t hold a candle to Gossip Girl.

At least not yet. Let’s revisit this question once Euphoria comes to an official end sometime in the future.
