Why does everybody believe Taylor Swift is set to have a cameo appearance in Selena Gomez‘s hit show Only Murders in the Building?
Rumors have been running rampant about Taylor showing up to the set to film a few scenes for the show. Selena just revealed the truth on the matter.
Here’s what she said.
The reason fans are convinced Taylor will be starring in an episode of Only Murders in the Building is because Taylor has an acting resume under her belt that proves she knows how to memorize lines when needed.
She also has a close friendship with Selena that has been in motion for years!
When asked about expectations to see Taylor in an episode of Only Murders in the Building, Selena addressed how rambunctiously chaotic Taylor’s schedule really is.
She opened up about the rumors with E! saying, “She’s a little busy, you guys.”
In other words, it’s pretty obvious that Taylor simply doesn’t have enough time on her schedule to make a cameo appearance work.
In the past, big acting projects Taylor has handled included Cats, The Giver, Amsterdam, and Valentine’s Day.
She also released a documentary called Miss Americana in 2020, which shed light on who she was as a person off the stage.
Then in 2023, she released a movie called Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour that highlighted the allure of her incredible world tour.
Beyond Taylor’s history as an actress and willing movie participant, her friendship with Selena is also tried and true.
Taylor and Selena have been friends for more than a decade after originally crossing paths with each other in 2008.
They went on a double date with a couple of the Jonas Brothers back then, and it brought them closer than ever.
Taylor was dating Joe Jonas and Selena was dating Nick Jonas.
Although both of those relationships failed, the friendship between Taylor and Selena prevailed.
For this reason, tons of fans have been hopeful about the prospect of Taylor and Selena working on some sort of collaborated project together.
A collaboration hasn’t come to fruition YET, which is why tons of fans are holding their breath about possibly seeing Taylor appear on Only Murders in the Building.
Taylor has yet to speak up about appearing on the show, though. Based on what Selena said about Taylor being super busy, it’s highly unlikely this will actually become a reality anytime soon. If ever.
