Can you imagine someone like Kylie Jenner starring in episodes of Gossip Girl? The OG Gossip Girl show was such an iconic and legendary series to watch.
These days, people love binge-watching since all the episodes are readily available for streaming on multiple platforms.
Kylie might’ve been too young to star on Gossip Girl back when it first premiered in 2007, but when people reimagine the show in this modern era, there’s definitely room to envision her dominating in one of the roles.
Picturing Kylie Jenner on Gossip Girl
As a reminder, Kylie is NOT an actress, nor has she claimed to be.
She’s a reality TV star, makeup mogul, and social media influencer. But, a lot of the qualities required for those career paths easily cross over into careers in acting.
That’s probably why so many Gossip Girl fans have been able to imagine Kylie in the mix as one of the unforgettable characters. Here’s what fans of the show have said.
According to My Cast, some Gossip Girl fans believed Kylie would have been great if she was casted as Charlotte Rhodes, aka Lola Rhodes.
Lola entered the picture as Serena and Eric’s real cousin who was attending school at Julliard as a secret.
She didn’t want her mother, Carol Rhodes, to know she was in attending classes there, but Carol had some secrets of her own.
Carol was paying off an actress named Ivy Dickens to pretend she was Lola as a way of gaining access to Lola‘s trust fund.
The actress who played Lola was Ella Rae Peck. Some Gossip Girl fans feel like Kylie would have done an amazing job handling the part instead.
One of the reasons why? Lola didn’t show up until Season 5, which aired in 2012. Kylie was 15 turning 16 that year.
It’s also likely because Lola had a small part that didn’t require too much effort.
Since Kylie is not a professional actress, the idea of her taking a big role that would have required tons of script memorization might have been a bit stressful.
Lola definitely showed up for a handful of important scenes, but she didn’t have a part that was as big as other characters on the show like Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, or Jenny Humphrey.
Plus, since Lola entered the scene starting in Season Five, she didn’t have to film episodes of the show from the very beginning, which means her character arc would have been small enough for someone like Kylie to handle.
Kylie is currently dating a super talented actor, Timothee Chalamet, but that doesn’t mean she’s interested in taking on a career in acting for herself.
