What would you say about a song collaboration between Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande?
Some fans of Selena and Ariana have a lot to say about this idea, and needless to say, tons of people are super stoked about the thought of it.
Selena and Ariana are both super busy with tons of responsibilities and obligations in their individual lives, but that doesn’t mean a collaboration is off the table forever.
Here’s what fans of both singers are saying about it on social media.
One person asked, “What does everyone think about an Ariana-Selena collaboration? I’m just curious if anyone thinks a collab would work? They both follow each other on Instagram, after all.”
Another social media user responded with, “Don’t know if they are working on a collab, but Selena talked about ‘Dangerous Woman’ by Ariana saying that it’s some of her favorite music in an interview with Vogue.”
Another fan added, “I think a collaboration would be guaranteed to go number one. I’d be here for it.”
Someone else chimed in with, “I would love for them to collab. I don’t think there are any issues that would hold them back.”
Other fans aren’t exactly ready to jump on the bandwagon for this idea. A few people pop music lovers their doubts.
One person wrote, “No shade towards Selena, but the singing chops would be far unmatched. Ariana is more powerful as a songstress. I do think their voices would sound great together though.”
Someone else mentioned their concerns about past issues Ariana and Selena might’ve had that would get in the way of a song collaboration. They asked if Justin Bieber drama could potentially get in the way.
As a reminder, Justin and Ariana seem to be decent enough friends with each other.
They got super flirty while performing “As Long As You Love Me” live on stage in 2016 with Justin holding Ariana from behind.
Then, in 2020, they released a song called “Stuck With U” together in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ariana’s friendship with Justin certainly exists, even though Selena and Justin have a very toxic and tumultuous past behind them.
There’s a chance Selena wouldn’t want to collaborate on a song with someone who happens to be good friends with her ex-boyfriend, but at this juncture, fans can’t know for sure.
Selena has never outright said anything negative about Ariana to the press.
That being said, the idea of a possible collaboration between the two is a hot topic of conversation that fans will continue mulling over!
